Step 1: Find the Samples Tab
Look at the top of your add-in. You'll see tabs:
Home | Data | Actions | [ Samples ] | AI | Utilities

Click here!
👆 Click the "Samples" tab now!
Step 2: Meet Your Sample Library
Welcome to the Sample Library! This is where learning happens. 🎓
You should see three categories:

Each sample includes:
- ✅ Real data (already uploaded for you!)
- ✅ Professional template (already created for you!)
- ✅ Everything configured (ready to run!)
You literally just click "Use This Sample" and GO!
Step 3: Choose Your First Sample
Let's start with the Business Directory - it's perfect for beginners!
Find the card that looks like this:

See it? Good!
Step 4: Preview (Optional but Cool!)
Curious what you're getting? Click Preview first!
You'll see:
- What data is included (100 businesses!)
- What fields are in the CSV
- What the template looks like
- What features it demonstrates
This is like looking at the menu before ordering. But we already know you'll love it! 😊
Click "Close" when you're done previewing.
Step 5: Use This Sample! (The Magic Button!)
Now for the exciting part!
Click the "Use This Sample" button!

What happens next:
- ⚡ System copies the CSV file to YOUR account
- ⚡ System copies the template to YOUR account
- ⚡ Everything loads in 2-3 seconds
- ✅ Success message: "Sample copied to your account!"
Boom! You now own this sample! 🎉
Step 6: Admire Your New Badge
Notice something? The card now has a ✓ badge!

That checkmark means: "I already have this sample in my account!"
Cool, right? Now let's DO SOMETHING with it!
Step 7: Go to Actions → Merge Tab
Time to generate your first document!
Click these tabs in order:
Step 1: Click "Actions" tab (at the top)
Step 2: You'll see these sub-tabs:
[ Merge ] [ Builder ] [ Export ]
↑
Click "Merge"!
You should now see the Merge panel with:
- Data File dropdown
- Word Template dropdown
- Data Flow dropdown
- A big "Run Action" button
This is where the magic happens! ✨
Step 8: Select Your Sample Data
In the "Data File:" dropdown at the top, select:
business-directory-100.csv
Step 9: Check the Template
In the "Word Template:" dropdown, select:
Step 10: Run the Merge!
Click the BIG "Run Action" button! 🚀
Watch the magic happen:
- ✨ Progress bar appears
- ✨ 100 business listings being generated
- ✨ Pages appearing in Word
- ✨ Formatting applied automatically
Congratulations!
You just created your first professional document with Data Publisher!
